We really enjoyed the lesson, the “brats” had a blast, and the bonus was they were totally exhausted when we got home, what a treat it was and Chris our instructor was awesome.
We had a ton of fun and the relationship with our pups is absolutely blossoming.
Thank you for enquiring I believe Bailey did enjoy her first session although very distracted by the new environment and all the various activities going on. The one small issue was that as we were a very large group spread across the field it was very hard to hear the instructions and conversations happening across the group due to all the background activities but sure we will get used to it going forward.
It was wonderful and I learned so much.
I really enjoyed the first lesson at Honeydew, I thought that the instructor was very patient, concise and overall ran the lesson very well.

Our first lesson was on Saturday at Kliprivier. It was wonderful, although my dog has energy in abundance, and couldn’t sit still.
The trainers knows what to do and that made it a lot easier.
I really enjoyed my first lesson and so did Odin! He was exhausted by the time we got home. I would recommend SADTC to anyone with a puppy!

Chris, well, what can I say. You were so informative in this section. The things you taught us, is things I never thought I would ever learn in this course. It was way more than what I expected, or hoped to get (thank-you for the flash ????) The part of the course you dealt with that I loved was all the interesting information, especially the anatomy and diseases. The comedy that you brought into every class was great, it made learning fun.
I just wanted to thank you both so much for the last month. I am SO grateful for everything I have learnt and what I most appreciate is how passionate both of you are when it comes to working with dogs. You have been incredibly generous with your wisdom and experience!
It is clear that giving this training was not just a tick the box kind of thing, but you really want us to be prepared for this work, both in terms of theory and knowledge but also how to really put everything we have learnt into action. We have to use our heads and our heart, and I love that about this training and this work.
I have had a lot of ideas about how I want to incorporate this work into what I am already doing and when I have a better picture of what it all looks like, I will run it all by you. I also look forward to shadowing as many classes (especially the puppy classes) as I can and also training Florry.
I am also happy to help out where I can with fundraising or anything along those lines. There are lots of markets that happen in my area all the time, we could maybe set up a stall and get some sponsored items to sell and have some of the therapy dogs there for people to visit so we can raise some funding for that.
Christine, I am serious about competing with Florry (just for the experience) in both obedience and agility, so let me know the next steps I can take.

I loved Level 1, so much information that I did not know, and you have given me a different way of looking at dogs. I was very interested in the behaviour and the therapy training and nose work, especially drugs and illness. I found the empathy you showed to the dogs labelled as aggressive, beautiful, and on further discussion, you found that they had other problems that had not been fully investigated. You showed me that the wrong diagnosis, could mean that a dog that can be saved, would be destroyed and that not all behaviourists are equal.
I would score you 10 out of 10, the information was comprehensive and understandable. Next year I will do level 2 and 3, and will bring Dream for obedience training and hopefully therapy training either in December or January, once back from the UK.

Going into the course I thought I knew a fair amount on dogs as in my 32 years on earth I have never not had less than 2 dogs around me a time. And as I said on Saturday evening at dinner I got a slap in the face with how much more there was to know and probably is to still know.
The course was insightful, I have gained so much more knowledge to work with and use to help educate others.
I sat in my bed on Tuesday night and soooooooooo many ideas started flooding my head on where to go on from here.
I am so damn excited for the future and where this journey will be taking me.
At training on Sunday Biata said to Nicolas my fiancé and me that my heel work is already so much better and she told Nicolas I definitely got a voice while being there haha.

I thoroughly enjoyed level 1 of the course and I learnt and gained a lot. What I enjoyed most about the course was how hands on we got to be with the dogs while doing practical work and all the encouragement given by you both while teaching. I have gained so much knowledge through level 1 and I enjoyed learning everything you had to teach so I personally don’t feel anything needs to be improved or changed. The training was phenomenal – we’ve seen a noticeable difference in the pups. They don’t even run into the house now, which was a huge big issue for us jumping on us and going crazy.

What a lovely session Roxy and I had again today (including that very gracious fall on the patch of grass ???? hillariously funny).
When I look back to when we started there, I can just say, ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC and AMAZING work from the team. Even as handler, I’ve grown sooooo much.
I always thought I knew dogs, but after this course I realised where I went wrong and was able to rectify it (and am still learning).
So whilst we’re on this topic and nearing the end of the course I would like to request more details on the next course. I really want Roxy to have maximum benefit from the obedience courses, but also to be a happy “child”. ???? (she’s like a child to us all)

Hope you’re well on this chilly morning. Just to let you know that the seat cover fits perfectly. I’m super excited about it and so is Roxy. I had to improvise a bit with the dog safety belt, as I did not want to make a hole in the cover. All those extra long double leashes came in very handy.
Training is going well so far and the team at Honeydew is really great. Love their training style and their willingness to assist when I get stuck on something. I have in the process also become more confident as handler and have to thank the team for this ????????
Training at home is also going very well. Pushing hard, and managing. So proud to say that we’re training with SADTC.

He was a bit overwhelmed at first with all the other dogs as he is not social but was calmer at the end of the lesson.

Theory was excellent and our first lesson with Biata was so informative, she certainly is an excellent trainer. (Will get to know the other trainers better over time, though Brett was also very friendly and helpful.) I like the approach and am confident that Roxy and I will manage. She is now confidently walking with the half-check collar and the harnass is only used when in transit. What a HUGE difference. (Thanks for the advice)

Thank you for your email and advise, I really appreciate it, I have contacted the owner and asked him to send his workers to me so I can help them and the dog how to get along with each other, he is going to bring them when he returns to South Africa, I am going to let the workers take over the role from the owners, he is such a wonderful dog, and what they are doing to him is not fair, I have thought him, sit, down, wait, and when I enter the kennel I tell him place he runs to the mat and then I enter the kennel, he then sits and wait until I tell him what to do next, I also thought him leave it, so we have monkeys an all kinds of animals in the field, so when I take him for a walk and he wants to charge them I tell him leave it, and he will come back to me and we keep walking. He is really such a good boy.
You will be very proud if you see my place, I work my but of every day, and I love every minute of it.
Last week I send a German Shepherd puppy home that I had for obedience and poisen proofing, and also personal protection, the owners are so happy with his progress and his manners.
I also have a Mallinois with me, she was with other trainers last year, they had her for 2 weeks and send her back home and told the owners she will never be a protection dog, I workerd on her socializing and I build her confidence, then I took het to XXX for help with the bite work, I felt like a proud mother that , she is doing so well with the bite work, everyone is so impressed.
Then I have a Dutch shepard also with me, she must learn obedience and man trailing, so 3 times a week I load her and the malli in my trailer and I take them to XXX, he then helps me with the man trailing and scent work and of course the protection work.
I am so grateful for your input and guidance in my life, I enjoying every second of what I do, I just struggle sometimes to fit in the farm work and kids, but I will get there.
I would like to thank all of the wonderful people of SADTC for an awesome experience whilst doing my level 1 dog training course.
The 2 week course duration passed so quickly as I was having a great time, Christine and Chris at my heels pushing all the time so that I may achieve the best results. The knowledge I have gained would never have been possible if C & C were not giving me their years of knowledge through the training.
The info was always free and forthcoming in all aspects of the course, and the kind and gentle manner in which training was carried out made all the differance.
C & C you are Awesome and I thank you from my heart for everything, may you be Blessed in abundance.

Every time I’ve asked for advice on a matter Leam has assisted. If I have asked for further knowledge on something, he has enquired by other instructors. He’s on his game, very helpful and friendly.
I do hope that you are keeping well and yes, I am still loving this new life and have gone from strength to strength after flying up and training with you.
Debbie was so friendly, well-spoken and her demonstrations were on point. She corrected us when we were doing it wrong and gave advice and both our dogs managed to get the sit, down and stand right through the guidance. She didn’t make anyone feel bad when our doggies decided not to follow through and gave everyone support they needed. Our lil Yorkie Bear is not friendly at all and barks a lot at the other dogs, We arrived an hour early to try and get him used to the area and maybe calm down but he continued barking and lunging and Debbie was very patient. I really do think the way Debbie engaged with the handlers was a bonus she did not screaming and shout but corrected us respectfully as we were all new and very overwhelmed. I truly do see the value of these classes. Will miss having Debbie in our session next week.
We had so much fun with Luna & Coco and Debbie was great and yes, we have most certainly enjoyed our first lesson. Looking forward to next week.
All went well, and I was happy with the training. Going forward, implementing all I was taught will need dedication but Mac is so worth it.

Only complaint is that the trainer needs to be patient with those who are there for the first time, it’s difficult to get grips with what she is saying and controlling my dog and still following the trainers instructions, my dog is difficult I know that, I’m also afraid of him hurting someone and/or another dog while at the classes but that’s why I’m there trying to get him trained.
Thanks for booking the private lesson today for our Mac, He enjoyed it so much and we absolutely loved how the trainers taught him and most importantly taught us how to behave for the dog to understand

X had a seizure on the evening of 8 November. Mila sensed that X was not feeling well and kept pressing her body against X on the bed(normally she sleeps at the foot end of the bed and not up close). When X had her seizure, Mila poked her nose against X’s chest. X was aware of Mila but did not respond, so Mila proceded to press with her front legs against X’s chest until she responded. Afterwards Mila pressed her nose against X’s nose until X was calm. Mila kept looking at the door until X went to fetch her dad to get help. Mila only started to relax after X was back and safe in bed.
We also want to take this opportunity to thank you for everything you do to help X. We believe the training empowers her. Both Mila and X loves the training sessions and the positive impact has been visible from the first lesson.

I feel that the theory and practical are complimentary of each other and has equal value in application. I cant say I have anything to criticize, but I do have so much gratitude for how my experience has helped me build my confidence again. Please never stop what you are doing, this world is dark and sometimes lonely, but with the love, passion and light you share is valuable beyond the immediate affect you have.
I really enjoyed the classes, knowledge and intimacy. Generally an extremely comfortable space. Even now, I can shift my attention and have the support you have given.

I’d just like to say thank you so so much for the incredible therapy training program you have put in place and all your guidance and help over the past year. I got Osha because I was having such terrible and frequent Anxiety and panic attacks and I was struggling hugely with my day to day life. Although we have a long way to go still , Osha (with help from Tammy’s incredible training and love and support) has been an amazing help with my anxiety. Because of her training I feel very happy taking Osha out with me and as Tammy saw when we went to the hospital she knows it’s time to work when she’s out! Osha comes shopping with me , she comes to restaurants and to any social gathering I can take her to and what’s amazing is that when I have her out with me I am able to keep my anxiety under control and even start to enjoy social things again. My psychiatrist is so pleased and excited by the progress I have made this year and he is convinced a lot of it is because of Osha and her therapy training. He has recently taken me off some of the more hectic medicine I was on because even if I do have a panic attack osha will be with me to help ground me and stop me from hurting myself so this is a huge step for me. I feel like I’m finally starting to feel like myself again and a lot of it is thanks to Tammy’s hard work with us and the amazing therapy program. Thank you so so much you have no idea how much I appreciate everything you’ve done for me and Osha too!
This year was a year with so many challenges and disappointments, dreams that I built and put my whole heart and soul into them were destroyed in a blink of an eye, but I kept believing and trusting that the Lord put me on the path for a reason, I was for 2 weeks at SADTC dog training college, what a challenge to be behind the books again at 36 and my husband and children far away from me, with Sheriff by my side we tackled everything and unpacked a lot of tears, it wasn’t easy, but after 2 weeks Could I stand with my Certificates as a trained dog instructor, it was worth it, I built a lot of friendships and those that were already there were built even stronger, I know in my heart the Lord has a plan for our lives, no matter how difficult it is, I feed l also proud to be called His child and to be able to live out His purpose for our lives. Thank you to everyone at college and at home who assisted me and encouraged me to keep going and push through.

When we started you said it was going to be life-changing, and 2 weeks down, I concur. The fact that I signed up for levels 2 and 3, two days into the first course, that would give you all the feedback you need.
I found both presenters easy to approach, pleasant and very supportive, not something I have experienced before, and something I find valuable and encouraging. I loved it! I wouldn’t change anything. I will be recommending this course to others with no hesitation at all. I am grateful for this experience and I’m so excited for what is still to come.

Despite Matilda being very afraid (she is a rescue baby), it was a wonderful morning. Sandra is absolutely amazing! She was so kind and gentle with Matilda and gave me such good guidance. The love and care she has for the babies just shines through her. Oh and Chris was equally wonderful!

My dog has issues with distraction and attending a group class I think will help him focus while other dogs and people around. The instructor was friendly and clear and what said made sense. A generally fun outing. No complaints.

Liam was super sweet with Jackpot and very understanding about Jackpots anxiety issues. He gave me some good advice that I have been trying at home.
Jackpot was absolutely brilliant and coped very well. I really enjoyed the lesson and it was a good learning experience for both of us.
The most difficult part for me was getting Jackpot from the car to the training field and then back to the car, I am still having difficulty leading him but other than that I think it went really well and I’m looking forward to the next one.
The class was very pleasant! The pups enjoyed it a lot.

I have been for my first Old Age Home session with Makai. He was so wonderful putting his head on the peoples lap and enduring the patting.
The folks liked it and some wanted him to do a second round with them. I am very pleased.
We also entered a dog show the other day and won the “best home trick” category. We did the trick with opening the dustbin, taking a toy out, then dropping the toy on someone’s lap, take the toy again and drop it in the suitcase and then close the suitcase. Ending with a BOW.
