Where do I start!!
I absolutely loved it.
I am going to be so honest I was supper stressed never slept well before Saturday as to what you might think of the dogs I don’t know, with them not being used to “socialising”” with other dogs etc..
We have enrolled x2 dogs
– Bella the pitty and
– Diablo the staf pup
The whole week we attempted to put puppy choker on Dubs but nothing he was petrified he ran away he did nothing.
We arrived there and Biata (not sure how to spell name) helped my son and puppy strolled all over on his choker
Bella we were super stressed had a harness on. my husband was freaked out she also put the collar on and guided my husband what to do he was relaxed
Both Bel & Dubs did great with training. Bella did not do what we though she would do she was actually quite chilled.
On arrival she went crazy in the car when we left she had her head out window all chilled.
If I could honestly say I do believe this will be our best investment into our pups and I am super great full for every member of your Team.
ANYONE!! You see someone with SADTC logo on you ask them something they help you guide you give you a tip you name it.
From the lady in the club house/canteen to the guys doing the training or assisting with the training you guys are amazing.
In Bellas’ class there was quite a “angry” pup and just the way the trainer and “assistants” placed everyone guided everyone I don’t know how to explain you guys know your Sh!t and you are amazing – no matter what breed / size / temper you are all well-educated and I am truly thankful that we can be part of the training at your “college” and I will recommend ANY ONE AND EVERYONE who has a new dog young or old to take their pups to you guys..

A HUGE thank you for helping me with Whiskey yesterday. He passed out like a toddler in the car ride back.
The whole family read the home work documents and will work together with the ongoing training.
This morning he did his usual “lets chase the cat”. I gave the “leave it” command and he immediately stopped (which he never did). Walk up to me and sat down. Super “good boy” and gave him his treat.

Regarding the lesson on Saturday, I was very impressed and satisfied at the passion and patience I got to witness between the trainers and the dogs. ?
Explanations were very clear regarding what to do, and how to do it, as well as assistance when required. I appreciate the individual attention that was given to each puppy and handler as well.

On arrival I was so stressed because Jax was not used to so many strange people and dogs and he even went for one of the instructors. However, the instructors were all great in helping us calm down and assuring me that it was normal behavior and that I shouldn’t worry. After that I really enjoyed the class and was even pleasantly surprised that Jax behaved so well off leash.
Sandra also offered some helpful tips after the class with regards to feeding Jax when practicing what we have learnt so far.
We thoroughly enjoyed the class, I’ve already bragged about it to everyone I know and we look forward to the next class.

Ceaser went back to for a check-up and I introduced him to her the way you showed me, he did react at first but nothing compared to how he used to .He however did go towards her to take the treat from her hand.
As soon as she showed us the new exercises he got distracted and all was okay, also what I picked up was when we all sat on the floor and had a casual chat he warmed up to her and he even approached her and allowed her to rub his neck.
I have been working Ceaser well almost daily, so now I train him at random times and places, even if it is only a down stay in the kitchen while I am making coffee.
I just again want to thank you soo much for helping us with him you really changed his and our lives.

I have some good news with Spirit. I had entered him in the Rhodesian Ridgeback breed show last year but is was cancelled due to Covid. So today was the show date for 2021. He was in the neutered class and placed first and also got shortlisted for best ridge. Surprisingly he did not show any signs of aggression to the other Ridgebacks. I want to say a huge thank you for all the help with his behaviour as it no doubt paid dividend especially the “stand” and “left about turn” commands. I got to see a lot of Ridgebacks and many are a handful ?

Both my husband and myself enjoyed it tremendously. Hubby says he found it very informative, and Keith demonstrated very well how to lure the dogs into position.
I have already trained almost all of the first couple of weeks’ work, but uncle Johan and Annemarie picked up on it within minutes, which I am very impressed with. You guys keep an eye on what each person is doing, and I’m sure that means a lot to everybody. (At least it should). Mark is going to assess me on Saturday, and then they will decide which class to move me to so I’m looking forward to having a challenge and being kept accountable for doing homework as well.

What made me apprehensive was not knowing how far I could push being stern on the field. Johann set me on the right path and pretty quickly, she found her ears again and all ended well.
I have already had another training session with her yesterday morning, just 15 min while hubby was out and she didn’t do too badly at all, I was surprised.
I am trying to apply it in everyday life too and the response for the most part is quite positive.

Frankie is already behaving much better and knowing how important MY body language is has also helped to improve his obedience. I have noticed that I have Frankie’s FULL attention when I put the moon bag on, he is associating it with “treats”. This family from Thabazimbi had a break-in and the dog was hurt trying to protect the family/property, it was nervous of black bags afterwards. We did a private lesson with the family and the video below shows the improvement regarding the dogs fear of the bags
My mom has been working on the black bags. Ruby is now less scared of them. And bites and plays with them. So they are slowly getting better.
From what I understand the things my mom have worked on she is better. My mom can see slight improvements. So think she has learnt a lot from the lesson and is now applying it to the situation.

Just to give some feedback. Playtime is great again. I have purchased a few new toys i.e soccer ball that they share. Tyres on a rope and ball on a rope that I alternate so that they don’t play with the same thing to long.

It was very insightful. I am very satisfied with the level of experience from the instructors.
I do realize that I have many challenges ahead with my reactive boy, but I am extremely positive that I and Trigger both will learn more every day as the course goes along. I now realize how much there is to learn and how important it is to train the right way.
And that is all because of the great attitude and positivity from you guys. I am extremely glad I chose SADTC for Trigger’s education.
